Master Angus Pollard is the senior instructor at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Katy. He holds the rank of 6th Degree Master Black Belt and Level 4 Tiger-Rock Certified Instructor. Since the opening of his original Katy location in 2000, Mr. Pollard has provided world-class martial arts instruction to the Katy/West Houston area for thousands of students. Pollard’s martial arts journey began in 1984 in Beaumont, TX under the tutelage of Senior Master Marv Conway, and since then has earned many World and National Champion titles. Hundreds of Mr. Pollards students have gone on to earn their own World and National Champion honors. Mr. Pollard keeps his students highly interested and engaged through his dynamic teaching style. He is certified to teach HanMuDo, CDT (non-deadly force and personal safety courses), grappling and teaches personal safety courses for women’s groups, corporate gatherings and school presentations. Mr. Pollard lives in Katy with his wife and two sons, holds a Biology degree and enjoys fishing.
Michael Reade
Michael Reade is a lead instructor at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Katy. He is a 5th Degree Black Belt and Level 4 Tiger-Rock Certified Instructor. Mr. Reade began his martial arts career in The Woodlands, TX in 1994 under Mr. Michael Lopez. In 2005 Mr. Reade moved to Katy to work with Angus Pollard after graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in History. Mr. Reade’s lives in Katy with his wife and son and is an inspiring example to all at the Katy academy.
